You have to buy from a reputable place.

The company should not have a rating lower than a B+. The company should also have pictures that match what you’re buying. Further, watch out for Frankenstein watches which have real pieces but also some kind of foreign/fake pieces. Their reputation is everything. Two resources for seasoned watch buyers are eBay and Chrono24. He does not advise CraigsList!
